Dr. Shu Ching Quek

    Dr. Shu Ching Quek is a technologist in the renewable energy and aerospace industries for 21 years. His experience included heading multi-million-dollar programs and technical leadership for 8 years at GE, 1 year as a research associate professor at Tufts University and, 2½ years at Ming Yang Wind Power Group (MYwind) as VP of Engineering for MYwind–China and President of MYwind–USA. In addition, Dr. Quek has also held R&D roles for photonics involving the use nanostructures, active flow control, active seals and thermionic energy recovery. While at GE, Dr. Quek received several management awards for his innovative contributions to the solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) program to achieve one of the world’s best performing cell. He lead the team to develop the world’s largest carbon based jointed aeroelastic blade at GE. In addition, he delivered the Ming Yang Wind Power’s first DNV/GL certification. More recently he has also consulted with one of the world largest concentrated solar power projects (1GW plant) with Glasspoint and significantly increasing their manufacturing yield and product operational life. Currently Shu Ching is the CEO/Founder of Novuswave specializing in clean energy systems. He has received his Aerospace PhD from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He currently holds over 20 patents in the areas of wind turbine blade, tower fabrication, inspection technologies, ceramic matrix composites, sodium batteries and fuel cells.

        Dr. Stuart L. Cantor

        Stuart L. Cantor completed his Ph.D in pharmaceutical sciences at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. Dr. Cantor is a scientist with deep expertise in the product development and commercialization of both pharmaceutical and nutraceutical products, has extensive experience assessing all aspects of healthcare intellectual property, and doing business development for start-up companies.

        His expertise lies in the development of tablets and capsules, controlled release technologies, and orally disintegrating tablets (ODTs).  He previously worked for a pharmaceutical start-up company where he developed several nutraceutical products which were licensed to and commercialized by Bristol Myers Squibb.

        Dr. Cantor has published 58 articles in the nutraceutical and pharmaceutical fields dealing with various R&D, processing, ingredient functionality/chemistry, and regulatory topics.  He was a pharmaceutical formulation scientist at the Food & Drug Administration (FDA), where he developed solid oral dosage forms (tablets and capsules) and conducted analytical work to support various regulatory issues. He is currently working as a CMC consultant at Agios Pharmaceuticals and previously consulted at Proteus Digital Health where he was involved with developing drug and medical device combination products.

            Will Hogan

            Will holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Chicago, and has earned the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation.

            Will’s business development experience ranges from opportunity, identification and evaluation to project management including specifying capability requirements, building teams, selecting and managing partners and vendors and strategic marketing. Over his 20-plus year career, Will has proven adept at driving initiatives within and across organizations, often employing consultative sales techniques at firms such as Amalgamated Bank, Aetos Capital/ AEA Holdings, Morgan Stanley, and Ernst & Young. Through Godfrey Companies, Inc., Will provided consulting services to growing companies on business planning, business development, and capital formation topics. Will also served as COO of Hillsdale Group, a developer of green energy generation projects, primarily in the developing world, where he led the company’s strategy and execution efforts, including project identification, evaluation, financing, and overall development.

                Matt Kime

                Matt served 20 years as an officer in the United States Army, where he specialized in defense procurement.  At the U.S. Embassy in Prague, Czech Republic he worked with universities and government research laboratories to identify and fund technologies of interest for the Department of Defense.  He successfully led the effort to open the Office of Naval Research-Prague, which supports science and technology collaboration across Central and Eastern Europe and worked closely with the Office of Naval Research-Global in Singapore.  He has extensive Middle Eastern experience, administering high dollar value contracts for major defense programs in the Arabian Gulf region.  Matt is a graduate of the University of Iowa and holds a Master of Business Administration from Webster University.  He is working with Signifi Solutions of Toronto, Canada to test an automated, over-the-counter pharmacy kiosk business concept at the Kansas City International Airport.  Matt is honing his early-stage entrepreneurial skills in Kansas City’s Kauffman FastTrac Program.  He is also exploring market opportunities for newly improved hydrokinetic and solar technologies.

                    David Forster

                    Dave is a highly successful operations executive with expertise in building/optimizing and leading multi-million dollar organizations, through the use of processes, installing effective measurement systems, and infrastructure to maximize business operations worldwide. He has extensive experience in classified and unclassified networks, Information Technology, Radars and Weapons, and Ship Systems. He has proven success in delivering optimal results in high-pressure environments through initiatives that exceed operational performance targets and yield measurable outcomes.

                    He earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Memphis in late ‘80s. Subsequently, he furthered his engineering education by securing an M.S. in Astronautical Engineering from the Naval Post Graduate School. In 2005, he procured an MBA from Rutgers Business School in New Jersey. Consequently, Mr. Forester scholastic achievements and extensive professional career make him an undeniable asset at any organization.

                    Prior to his current position, he worked with the U.S. Navy in Washington D.C. as Program Manager for the Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems department. He was responsible for almost every facet of getting complex sensing information and intelligence implemented into daily naval operations.  His scope of responsibilities was so expansive that, in addition to his operational duties, he also initiated client engagements and negotiated contracts, some in the excess of billion.                         Jeremy Davis

                        Jeremy is a successful leader with a diverse background in military operations, project management, construction and oil & gas.  He earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the United States Military Academy, West Point, NY and his MBA from the Jones School of Business, Rice University in Houston, TX.                             Dr. Kevin R. Gillespie – DMD, MS, MBA

                            Dr. Gillespie is a board-certified dental specialist in periodontics. He graduated with a B.A. in Spanish from Brigham Young University. He earned his D.M.D. from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. He received his surgical residency training through the U.S. Army Advanced Education in Periodontics while simultaneously completing an M.S. in oral biology from the Medical College of Georgia.                                 Dr. Robert Binford

                                                        Matthew is a lead R&D engineer for Vertical takeoff / Vertical landing rocket development with experience in ground fueling, manufacturing, and product development. His current activities include working to bring new technologies to this industry and creating the next generation of aircraft refueling equipment; he has 3 provisional patent applications in progress. Matt has experience in metallurgy, additive manufacturing, materials and casting through work on Jet Engines and a tooling company he co-founded. Rapid-D uses additive manufacturing to create precision aerospace injection molding dies and fixtures for single crystal turbine blades.                                                             Phil Roberts spent over 30 years doing patient care as a physician, including 2 years in General Surgery training, 27 years as an Emergency Department physician and nearly seven years practicing Anti-Aging, Functional Medicine while getting more training and a Master’s Degree in Metabolic and Nutritional Medicine. His patent on the “No Aids Blade” allowed for millions to use a safer disposable scalpel that is widely marketed by Becton Dickinson. Several publications and a chapter on thyroid toxicity have been penned over the years.
                                                            Sales were part of his life growing up. Having spent several years in real estate sales prior to going to medical school, later being involved in the development of several subdivisions (either as partner or individual with a fantastic team) Roberts is well acquainted with the sales industry.
                                                            In medicine, during the 2010-2011 early days of hormonal medicine, we built a very substantial clinic in less than 2 years with multi-million sales in the first ten months of 2011.

                                                                During his tenure at Texas Instrument’s Defense Systems and Equipment Group, Chuck managed multiple teams establishing emerging technologies resulting in lower cost solutions for premier DoD RF defense systems. As a co-author, Chuck presented a paper at the 1993 ARPA Symposium as part of the Raytheon-Texas Instruments Joint Venture titled, “Application of a Statistical Design Process to Increase Predicted GEN-X Module First Pass Yield”. Out of 140 papers submitted at the TI Technical Ladder Recognition Day in 1994, this paper was selected as one of four papers to be presented.

Sandy graduated from the University of California at Davis with a BA (with honors.) She has studied entrepreneurship and the Product Launch Formula. She’s an investor and owner of a real estate business. She and her husband spent 18 months in Kenya helping local non-profit group leaders learn ethics, leadership and organizational skills. Sandy is creative, innovative, and solution oriented.

He remained in the mobile communications arena for 15 yrs. working for 3 different corporations establishing major accounts while opening new markets and territories throughout the Southern California region such as Coca Cola, Warner Brothers, Dodger Stadium and the City of San Fernando.

She has a unique combination of medical industry work experiences to understand clinical information workflows & interdepartmental nursing procedures with advanced business operations experiences, training, and education that provided leadership & consultation on large scale projects for medical companies offering software application solutions. Most recently, she conducted high impact consultation with executive level staff to develop an account list which included software systems management for over 50 hospitals; providing over 50,000 beds. Franko has professional leadership & communication experienced gained from serving honorably in the US ARMY (Op. Joint Endeavor) and has earned various healthcare degrees; Nursing (BS), Univ. of Phoenix, Nursing (AAS), Clark College.

For over 20 years she has gained experience in all facets of small business start-up including: Operations, Logistics, and Sales & Marketing. These valuable experiences enable her to be nimble, flexible, and develop creative solutions for us during our fast-moving product launches. In her spare time, she is a tutor of music, math, and computers. She attended Moorpark College where she studied business administration.

She provides departmental research and business intelligence reports & presentations to affect key strategic decision-making by top executive leadership. Briann is currently pursuing a liberal arts degree and has numerous excellence in community service awards from the distinguished Masonic Lodge organization and the Academy of Creative Ed.
